1. For DNS Program: Candidates should have cleared 12th with 60% in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Candidates should have passed BSc.(Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry) with at least 55% of marks. With 50% or more marks in English.
2. For B.Tech and BSc. (3years) Program: Those candidates who have 60% marks in PCM and 50% marks in English.
3. For M.Tech : Candidates should have cleared B.Tech/B.E in Marine Engineering with 60% of marks.

Syllabus for Chemistry: Radio and Nuclear Chemistry, Chemical Kinetics, proteins and fats, carbohydrates, coordination chemistry, absorption and colloids, transition elements , inner transition elements, halogen derivatives of Alkanes and hydroxy groups, Electrochemistry, thermodynamics etc.
