The Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a national-level examination. It is conducted twice a year, in December and July. It is intended to select qualified teachers at the primary and upper primary levels. The Central Board of Education (CBSE) conducts CTET exams.

The candidate must have achieved a minimum of 50% in Senior Secondary and have passed or appeared in a two-year Diploma in Education.
Candidates for CTET must have secured a minimum of 50% in Senior Secondary and must have passed or appeared in the final year of a two-year diploma program in education with a minimum of 45% marks.
Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% in Senior Secondary and a minimum of 50% in the final year of a four-year Bachelor of Education (B.EI.Ed).
In order to apply for CTET Exam, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% in Senior Secondary (or equivalent), a Diploma in Education (Special Education) with a minimum 50% mark, or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree with a minimum 50% grade.

Educational Qualifications for Teacher of Class VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

Graduation from a high-education institution with at least 50% of the maximum mark for final-year Bachelor’s degree candidates.
