Eligibility Criteria:


  • The candidate should be an Indian citizen.
  • If the candidate does not reside in India then he or she should be an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India)


  • The candidates should be minimum of 17 years on December 31, of the year of admission, or candidates belonging to all the categories.
  • The candidate should be a maximum of 25 years as of December 31, the year of admission for students belonging to the General Category.
  • The maximum age limit is 30 years as of December 31, of the year of admission for students belonging to the Reserved Category.


Students must have passed 12TH Standard Board Exam or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with at least five mandatory subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and an elective subject.

Year of Passing:

  • The candidates who are appearing for board exams in the year 2020 are eligible to take NEET 2020.
  • The students who have appeared for the 12th standard exams in 2019 and appearing for an improvement exam in 2020 are eligible to apply for NEET 2020.
  • Candidates who have appeared for the 12th standard exams in 2018 and have taken the improvement exam in 2019, can mention the year of the exam with a better score.
